A Revolutionary New Wrapped and Capped Silicone Fishing Lure Skirt

As a cheaper alternative to our easy on, easy off hub mounted lure skirt, GLC proudly introduces our new, patent-pending Capped Wrap Skirt. This Skirt is the first new design to the wrap skirt since its introduction to the lure skirt market 15 years ago. This new, great-looking wrap skirt offers the easy on, easy off feature of the easy hub skirt at a fraction of the cost. It fits quickly and easily onto your favorite spinner-bait or jig head to keep you fishing more and rigging less. For lure manufacturers and assemblers, it offers a tremendous opportunity for cost savings while providing a better looking, better functioning end product. Our Capped Wrap Skirt is comparably priced to the old style banded skirt while dramatically reducing the lure assembly cost associated with stretching banded skirts over the lure hub, aligning strands, and trimming. The resulting umbrella on our capped wrap skirt is far superior to that of the old style banded skirt, giving the lure a much better presentation both in the water and out. Unlike other wrap skirts on the market today, it does not employ a central hub and includes a pressure bonded cap that dramatically improves the umbrella effect. Just like the Easy Hub Skirt, our Capped Wrap Skirt comes in lengths from 1 1/2 inches for crappie and pan fish to 6 inches for musky and larger freshwater game fish. The skirt comes in a variety of colors and can be fitted with up to 4 colors/patterns to coordinate with your own paint schemes. Because our Capped Wrap Skirt is made from 100% silicone with no filler added, it will not sun fade or deteriorate and it will come back to shape, time and time again.

Our Capped Wrap Skirt is produced with forty five 1.5” to 6”, 14 to 18 mil, 50 shore pure silicone strands, in regular cut width or thin cut. Unlike the old design wrap skirt, this capped wrap skirt employs a cap hub which effectively supports the strands and reduces the collapse of the skirt umbrella while the lure is being retrieved. Thus, providing a much nicer presentation in the water. Also due to our unique production technique, our capped wrap skirt can be assembled with up to 3 different color strands and the strands and accents can be positioned precisely.

Our Capped Wrap Skirt was designed as an inexpensive alternative to the antiquated style cut and rubber banded skirt, providing the easy on, easy off application and some of the coloration and style features of our easy hub skirt at a fraction of the cost.

Essentially, the Big Easy Skirt is a supersized version of our Capped Wrap Skirt described above.  The Big Easy is produced in 3 standard sizes; 11” with 2 styles of 80g smoker heads, 8” with a 50g chromed brass teaser head, and 6” with a 35g chromed brass teaser head.  And with hundreds of silicone colors including glitter sparkles, camo, and chroming, the color selection is endless.

The Big Easy Teaser Lure is the first truly new design in the saltwater teaser lure market in over 25 years.  In addition to allowing for easy skirt replacement on our specially designed Big Easy teaser and smoker heads (patent pending), the Big Easy Skirt (patent pending) provides a level of style and coloration flexibility unparalleled in the industry.  It is also the first ever production version of an interchangeable silicone skirt for the saltwater fishing market.  Now for the first time ever, an offshore fisherman can purchase one jig head and change strand coloration or replace mangled skirts with an easy snap on/snap off technique.  And because our skirts are produced from 100% high grade silicone instead of the usual PVC, rubber, nylon, or Mylar, the saltwater fisherman can now enjoy the same skirt durability that freshwater fisherman have demanded for the past 25 years.  No more sun fading and melting.  As compared to the nylon and Mylar strand skirts so prevalent on the market today, our Big Easy Skirt has a much more lively trolling action and with our extensive glittering and chrome printing capabilities, we can produce a silicone strand that is virtually as brilliant and reflective as nylon and Mylar.  And when that pesky fish with a mouth full of sharp teeth tears the strands, a new skirt can be popped on in a matter of seconds.  Another unique feature of our Big Easy is the ability to run the skirt strands in a straight back array or with an umbrella.  Simply snap the skirt off of the head, invert the hub, and re-install to change from straight strands to umbrella strands in a matter of seconds.
