KING BLING & BIG GAME BLING SKIRTING

GLC was the first to introduce silicone skirting and our Patent Pending Holo-Sil teaser and lure skirting to the saltwater Big Game market a couple of years ago with great success.  The breathability, pulsating action, and coloration versatility of silicone skirting is unmatched by conventional stiff PVC skirting.  And the pulsating flash of the Holo-Sil holographic laminated silicone can not be matched by conventional Mylar or chrome transferred PVC strands.

Now we have raised the bar by introducing our new line of King Bling and Big Game Bling skirting and skirted teasers.  Our new Bling skirts and teasers are focused squarely on King Mackerel and saltwater pelagic species.  These silicone skirts incorporate our patent pending Holo-Sil holographic film lamination along with our vertical band coloration (swirl) process to create an incredibly attractive (to fish and fishermen) and effective lure.

GLC is not the first to make a Kingfish jig, but we have designed the best.  Our new King Jig incorporates an ultra sharp, high carbon steel hook to assure positive hook up on those tough mouth Kings and other inshore species.  We use only the best hot stamping and automotive quality air brushing, and we touch it off with 3D eyes.  These jigs are currently available in ½ oz. and 1 oz. sizes.  We plan to add large sizes up to 8 oz. in the future for grouper and Snapper jigging.  They are prefect for nose hook rigging Ribbonfish, small Spanish, or small Bluefish.  Combined with our King Bling skirting, they make for an awesome King rig.  They can also be used for jigging Redfish, Flounder, Sheephead, and other inshore and near shore bottom fish.

SALTWATER JIGS

GLC is now working with one of the premier lure companies in Japan to develop several lines of vertical jigs for near shore and offshore bottom fishing.  These jigs target the full spectrum of bottom and mid depth dwelling saltwater species, including Grouper, Snapper, Sea Bass, Shark, Cobia, Trigger Fish, Sheephead, and the like.  The production quality standard for these new lures is impeccable.  They are produced with only virgin lead with precise addition of hardening alloy.  They are hot stamped with an automotive quality air brushed finish.  The finish is impervious to toothy fish.

CREATURE SKIRTS

GLC proudly introduces the first ever, Game Fish Prey Image and Appendage silicone lure skirt trailers integrated into our PATENT PENDING Easy Hub skirt design.  These custom skirt trailer strands can also be integrated into any of our other skirt designs including the patented Easy Band Skirt, patented CapWrap skirt, patented Big Easy skirt, or a conventional rubber banded skirt.  And they can be incorporated into our Patent Pending Silicone Tube Skirt.

For years, anglers have been adding relatively stiff, soft plastic or Plastisol fish prey images as trailers to their skirted lures.  GLC has now designed a lure skirt that incorporates these fish prey appendage and image shapes into the skirt.  The advantages are clear.  No more need to purchase soft plastics that have limited durability.  When used on our line of patented easy on/easy off skirts (Easy Hub, Easy Band, Big Easy, or CapWrap) it is now easier and less expensive to add and interchange fish prey images to any jig or wire bait.  And lastly and most importantly, the silicone appendages and images incorporated into our skirts are extremely breathable and provide a much greater dynamic pulsation and action.  The visual images of natural game fish prey combined with their pulsating action invoke aggressive reaction strikes.

Our new Creature Appendage Skirts are currently available in Frog Feet, Crawfish Claws, Minnow Tails, Paddle Tails, Squid Paws, Lizard Legs, and Curly Tails.  Our Creature Image Skirts are available in Baby Minnow, Shad, Sand Eel, Ballyhoo, Ribbon Fish, and Frog Body.  These custom appendages and images can be created in any shape desired.

These new skirts have a life-like appearance and movement like no other lure skirt or soft plastic trailer.  Our minnow tails, feet, paddle tails, curly tails, and pads swim through the water when retrieved.  When jigged, the frog feet and claws close while moving and open up in a natural, lifelike position when settled.  Our Baby Minnow skirts give the presentation of a school of Fry, irresistible to big Bass and other predatory species. 

We also make a Punch Skirt hub for our Creature Easy Hub Skirts, so now any of our Patent Pending Easy Hub skirts can be used and interchanged on your Punch Skirt Rig.  These new Punch Hubs are available in clear, black, brown, green pumpkin, red, and chartreuse.

SILICONE TUBE SKIRT w/ CREATURE APPENDAGES

GLC’s introduced the Patent Pending SILICONE TUBE SKIRT in 2009, incorporates the durability of a silicone body with the pulsating action and durability of silicone skirt strands.  Our SILICONE TUBE SKIRT is produced in sizes ranging from 3” to 5” for freshwater Crappie, Walleye, and Bass to 6” to 10” for Muskie and saltwater Big Game.  We also manufacture custom rattle jigs and rattle weight inserts in a variety of weights for our new SILICONE TUBE SKIRT.  With our jigs and weights, the SILICONE TUBE SKIRT can be rigged with an open hook bullet jig, or can be Texas rigged when fishing cover.  The SILICONE TUBE SKIRT is offered in the standard straight butt design or in a flare butt that provides a larger skirt profile.  It is available in a variety of sizes ranging from a Mini for Panfish and Trout to a Magnum for fresh and saltwater Big Game.

Now GLC is introducing  the our Patent Pending Silicone Tube Skirt with Creature strands available in Craw Claws, Minnow Tails, Frog Feet, and Paws.

SILI-FROG (SILICONE FLOATING FROG)

Everybody seems to be making a floating Frog these days, so why not GLC.  So in keeping with our fixation on silicone, we have now created the first ever all silicone skirted, floating Frog.  Unlike most of the other frogs on the market, our Sili-Frog is very durable, long-lasting, colorfast, and has easily replaced skirted legs with frog feet.  It also does one other very important thing that none other can do.  When our Sili-Frog stops dead in the water, it’s legs and frog feet spread open just like a real frog coming to rest after a long swim.  This action triggers the instincts of big bass and they slam it.

MOLDED END NYLON WEED GUARDS

GLC has developed a new nylon weed guard for the do-it-yourself market.  Unlike the currently available weed guards that are automatically cut with a melting knife, our guards are cut to length and individually molded to form a perfectly cylindrical solid nylon end that is the precise diameter desired.  Strands will not fall out and there is no more need for deburring the ends prior to insertion into the jig head.  Just thought we’d make life a little easier for you Do-It-Yourselfers.  Here at GLC Fishing, we like Easy.

NATURAL RUBBER SKIRT TAB

Another first, GLC now offers natural rubber skirt making Tabs in all of the popular rubber colors, in 10 strand heavy cut and 20 strand regular cut tabs.  By using our Pocket Assembly Tool or our Production Assembly Tool, it is now easy to add a tab of rubber to any skirt.  No more adding rubber strand by strand or separating round partially cut underwear elastic.  Again, we like EASY.

BIG GAME CAPWRAP SKIRT

We have now added a Big Game size to our line of patented CapWrap Skirts.  These BGCW skirts are available in sizes ranging from 6” to 14”.

EASY HUB SKIRT ASSEMBLY KITS

GLC now offers skirt assembly kits complete with an assortment of tabs, bands, rattle bands, rattles, and our patent pending hand-held skirt assembly tool.  With these kits it is EASY to assemble the Easy Hub skirt in custom colors.  The kit comes with everything needed except the liquid silicone.  For liquid silicone, just go to your local hardware store and get some clear general purpose RTV, cut it by about 25% with Toluene or Acetone, mix thoroughly until it’s the consistency of heavy syrup, then pour it into the syringe.  Put a male skirt hub on the center post of the assembly plate.  Cut the 5” five strand tabs in half yielding 2.5” pads with one tab end.  Using the syringe, dab a very small spot of the liquid silicone (just enough the hold the tab in place) onto the female hub while laying the tab end of the pad on top of it.  Use the needle end of the syringe to push the tab end securely against the hub.  Use the 14 white index marks on the assembly plate to line the tabs up evenly around the hub.  After all 14 five strand pads (70 strands) are glued onto the male hub, take a female hub and slip it over the male hub.  Then clamp the male/female hub sections (with the skirt pads sandwiched between) firmly together with the supplied clamping jigs.  A large alligator clip works well to hold the clamping jig in a compressed state.  The skirts will cure at room temperature in about 24 hours, or they will cure in about an hour in an oven at about 200°F.  Once cured, remove the clamping jig and your Easy Hub skirt is ready to attract that lunker.  With a little cutting, additional 2.5” five strand pads can easily be made from any standard 5 ¾” skirt tab.  Living Image Kits also available (not shown).

PRODUCTION SKIRT ASSEMBLY TOOL

We now offer the same bench mounted skirt production tool that we use in our factory to make millions of banded lure skirts.  This Patent Pending tool is, hands down the easiest, most productive device for making larger quantities of banded skirts.  Once set up, this tool is capable of banding 15 to 20 skirts per minute.  Just pre-load rubber bands onto the steel tube using the conical tube insert, remove the insert, adjust the back stop screw to the desired banding position, extend the hook rod through the tube and hook a couple of tabs, retract the tabs and pop on the band, pull the banded tabs back out and unhook.  Cut the tab ends and you’re done.

COMPRESSION MOLDED BALSA BAITS

GLC will soon release our newPatent Pending molded Balsa products.  This new technology allows for the production of wooden lures via a compression molding instead of carving.  This process will create a wood bait with the same surface detail as a plastic injection molded lure body.  Our new molded Balsa lures can also be produced with a hollow body for rattles and weighting.
